Songs for the In-Between “Good and Pleasant”

The Scriptures assume we will share our lives and journeys as God’s people within loving communities. Psalm 133 calls this “good and pleasant.” However, the world in which we live often defines our most significant relationships through competition and conflict.

In Psalm 133, David addresses God’s people as “brothers.” The Bible consistently uses the language of family: mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters, to describe a community united by God’s Spirit, shaped by His Presence, and blessed by His goodness. Building on the idea, Pastor Steve Mickel helps us grasp the implications of this short, but powerful psalm for our own lives.
