Council Confirmation
B4Church is part of a family of churches known as the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Foursquare churches in the US are overseen by district supervisors, and while the district supervisor makes decisions to appoint and/or remove pastors in each local church, the financial health of the church is supported and overseen by a Church Council. This group of volunteers from the congregation are carefully vetted and go through a process of prayer and careful consideration. Foursquare guidelines require council members to be confirmed by congregational vote, and each person serves a maximum of two consecutive two-year terms.
In larger Foursquare churches, since it is rare for potential council members to have personal relationships with a majority of the congregation, the Lead Pastor and Executive Team vet candidates and present them to the church for a vote of confirmation. Candidates are considered on the basis of their personal faith story and passion for Jesus & His church, consistent commitment to giving and service at B4, and appropriate experience and skills to help oversee the fiduciary life of the church.

Brad Nosler
Brad recently retired from a 40+ year career in cable and telecommunications. He and his wife, Cassy, have been part of the Beaverton Foursquare family since 1986. They have two adult sons. Brad has served on multiple B4 mission teams to Guatemala.

Spent 40 years in residential real estate management and development.
Married to Kris 43 years ago. Four grown children, all married with kids. 14 grandchildren! Could there be a greater blessing?!
Baptized (at B4) December 1980. Served many years in youth departments and a number of summer camps, plus soccer camp more recently.
Desiree Medari
Desiree grew up at B4Church and has actively served in various ministries over the years. It was at B4 that she met her husband, Ben, and they have now been married for four years. Currently, Desiree enjoys being a stay-at-home mom, caring for their one-year-old daughter, Eden.
Garson Pliska
I am the CFO for a group of family-owned hospitality businesses and have been a licensed CPA since 2015. My wife Cortney and I have been married for over 10 years, and after adding our two daughters into the mix, I’m truly grateful to be a husband and a “girl-Dad”. In my 12+ years here at B4 I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a small handful of different roles within
Children’s Ministries.
Lyle Hughes
My entire career was in Management in Operations & Customer Service, very people oriented!
Married to Marie for 53 years, Father of two Boys and Grandfather to 5 girls & 1 Boy with 2 of the granddaughters 5 minutes from us.
I have been the Lead for Financial Office Hours at B4 and the Beaverton Resource Center, helping people with their day to day finances in the areas of Debt Reduction, Budgeting, Goals, Emergency Funds & Saving.
Therese Abrams
Therese is a licensed CPA who works as the VP of Finance for a public biotech company. She and her husband Dan have been married for 19 years, and have two kids, Simon (12) and Karis (10). They have been a part of B4 for 18 years, and have served in many areas, but currently you will find them teaching in the 2nd /3rd grade classrooms during the 9am service.
