Bold Preaching
I am thankful for a pastor like Bo who doesn’t hold back. She preaches boldly. Her approach is part of a strong legacy at B4, one undergirded by prayer! We need fearless preachers who proclaim the truth with power. It’s not hard these days to find teaching that is shallow and diluted — that “tickles the ears. ” It’s void of redeeming truth and avoids tough subjects that the Scriptures tackle without pulling any punches. That’s why we must continue to preach boldly, as the apostles did.
Preaching that breeds renewal pierces the heart, and calls people without fail to Jesus. We must never be afraid to speak the full counsel of God, even if it is uncomfortable for the hearer. Our goal is not discomfort or offense though. It never is. We must always be grace-filled. But the gospel will offer inevitable offensive to the rebellious. and yet, it is also (and always) the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16).

- Lord, continue to empower bold, uncompromising preachers who proclaim Your truth without fear.
- Let our words always carry the truth, seasoned by love, and empowered by the Spirit.
- Open the hearts of our listeners, so that they may be transformed by Your loving Word and ever-present Spirit.
